“Learning Beyond the Classroom” involves any learning activity outside normal timetabled
lessons. These activities are designed to raise achievement, build self-confidence
and enable young learners to become responsible for their own development and progress.
Participation in a range of learning activities can help raise achievement in young
people and help develop skills for later learning, life and work.
A new approach, and new thinking, to Study Support is launched in the school this
session to offer supported learning for all pupils, from S1 through to S6.
