Junior Hockey Easter Camp

St. Andrews University Hockey Club are running an Easter Camp for children aged 7-16. The sessions will be led by Scottish Hockey qualified coaches, including Gavin Byers who has over 100 caps for Scotland. http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/sport/ Contact  01334 462190 for more information.

Disability Fife Swimming Championships

Arran Howe achieved a gold and silver medal and Joshua Hynd Rodger achieved a silver medal.

Online School Payments

Online school payments will be rolled out to all schools in Fife over the next 12 months. Fife Council is introducing a secure online payment system called iPayimpact which will offer parents/carers a convenient and flexible way to make payments for a range of school services. The system has a ‘shopping basket’ approach, allowing payments to be made for each child including dinner money, school trips, uniforms, after-school clubs, milk and many other school payments in one easy transaction - just add to the basket and check out! More information will be issued when we have a confirmed date for Bell Baxter.

Easter Revision School

The school is offering pupils in S4 – S6 the opportunity to undertake additional study support during the Easter holidays.  The Easter Revision School will run the week beginning Monday 3rd April, 2017 until Friday 7th April, 2017.


Spring Concert - Wednesday 29th March

The Expressive Arts faculty are currently preparing for our annual Spring Concert on Wednesday 29th March. At 7.00 p.m. Tickets are available to purchase from the school office.

Dance Show - Tuesday 28th March

Tickets will be on sale every day at interval in the front half of the Assembly Hall. Adults £4.00, under 16’s £2.00 and under 5’s go free. Tea, coffee and homebaking

for sale during the intermission plus a raffle by world challenge group

Scottish Cross Country Championships

Esmee Thoms (S1) represented the school at the recent Scottish Cross Country Championships on Saturday 5th March. Esmee finished 19th out of 150. This is an excellent achievement for her first competition at national level.

Scottish Space School - University of Strathclyde

Congratulations to Hannah Braidwood (S5) who has successfully gained a place to attend the Scottish Space School at the University of Strathclyde in June.

Charities Group - Coppers For the Copper

Tuesday 7th and 14th March - PC Loveoliver is in school to collect any spare change for a good cause. Loveoliver is a Fife-based charity founded by a couple of Fife teachers following the death of their baby. It raises money for research into childhood cancer as well as funding support for affected families.


S5/S6 pupils attend First Minister’s Questions

Some of senior pupils visited the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 16th March to observe the First Minister’s Questions. Afterwards the pupils got the opportunity to talk to some of the MSPs.


Fairtrade Fortnight 27th February to 12th March

The English faculty and the Fairtrade Group welcomed two guest speakers from the Oasis Centre in Palestine on Friday 3rd March, who talked to S1 pupils about the impact of Fairtrade.
